IMPOSTER SYNDROME WORKSHOP

NOVEMBER 2014

We hosted a workshop with Impostor Syndrome bingo, and a speaker session with Dr. Jessica Grahn, an Associate Professor in the department of Psychology and a researcher at the Brain and Mind Institute. Dr. Grahn touched on the impostor syndrome, a phenomenon manifesting among high-achieving women who are unable to internalize their own successes. We hosted a one-day conference for high school students interested in pursuing a STEM degree. The event included career workshops and presentations by members from the community. A huge thanks goes out to everyone who came and to all our wonderful volunteers!

We spent the night hearing from Dr. Sarah Gallagher about her work on black holes, followed by a tour of Western's very own Cronyn Observatory!

WOMEN IN MEDIA MOVIE NIGHT

OCTOBER 2016 

We collaborated with Women's Issues Network to explore the role of women in media with a screening of The Imitation Game, followed by a message from our amazing guest speaker, Dr. Tiara Sukhan.

We're collaborating with Women in Engingeering to hold a conference about empowerment for women in STEM fields. Come out and join us on February 9th.
